My New Favorite Chrome Extension

I recently installed a wonderful little Chrome extension. It has simplified my life, significantly lowered my heart rate and helped me focus.

News Feed Eradicator for Facebook replaces my Facebook News Feed with a random quote. It keeps me from being pulled into hair-raising political conversations or wasting time watching useless videos, and it does this without effecting any other Facebook functionality.

Although it's tempting, I didn't want to get rid of Facebook completely. It's a useful tool for sharing my writing, keeping up with friends (using search instead of the Newsfeed), managing company pages and chatting in Messenger.

If you're not a fan of the random quote generator, you can turn it off or enter your own custom quote in settings.

News Feed Eradicator for Facebook is free in the Chrome Web Store. If you use another browser, there are similar extensions available for Safari and Firefox.
